1 The Drapers’ Company Ordinances and Accounts (1534-1764) English 1523-1764 1 r Transcribed by Daffern and Sharp.In Daffern’s transcription, the first few leaves of this book contained some brief notes, such as the date ‘The 18 of October 1599’. The book then listed rules, which Daffern transcribes: ‘In the yere of oure Lord God AD 1534 be yt hade in mynde of an ordenance made the last daye of December for the welfarre of all the holle felleshyppe and Craft of Drapers’. Daffern’s transcription extends over 191 pages and ends with the records of some payments of rents from 1624, including one ‘Received of Thomas Dudley junior for half a yeere rent’.
